Pro-Life is a program to protect life from conception to death from natural causes. It includes abortion, euthanasia and capital punishment. What have we done personally in this fight?
1. Each council leads a rosary at least once per month before or after Mass. (Check with your pastor for permission)
2. Prayer at council meetings.
3. The U.S. Bishops ask that we abstain from eating meat on All Fridays.
1. Sponsor pro-life seminars (natural family planning, Birthright, etc.).
2. Distribute materials to appropriate groups and show K of C stem cell video.
3. Become informed of political candidates’ positions on pro-life issues, educate others and vote accordingly.
4. Erect memorials and roadside signs to the unborn, promote phone numbers for local Crisis Pregnancy Centers and other pro-life information.
1. Fundraisers, clothing drives, supplies, Annual “Pro-Life Baby Shower” in January. (Check with your pastor for permission)
2. Assist area pro-life organizations in any manner.
3. Consider giving new mothers in your parish a rose and also recognize all mothers in your parish in some manner on Mother’s Day.
1. Evangelium Vitae application deadline March 20.
2. Pro-Life Report deadline April 1.
3. Pro-Life Scrapbook entry deadline is April 1.
4. Mail or email pictures of road signs and memorials with their locations to the Pro- Life Chair couple for inclusion in Kansas State Scrapbook.
5. Send reports on pro-life report form after each event. Don’t wait until April 1.
